Task force or study body None found
No digital assets, blockchain or crypto task force, commission or study committee found. We searched: Searches for Nevada blockchain/digital asset/fintech task force, working group, commission, Treasurer or Governor's Office of Economic Development efforts. Found: SB 110 (2021, Sen. Spearman) would have created an emerging technologies task force that included blockchain; per The Nevada Independent (Jul 16, 2021) it did not pass. SB 165 (2023) proposed an Emerging Technologies Task Force within the Dept. of Business and Industry with blockchain in its mandate; legislative history shows no vote and 'no further action' on Jun 6, 2023. Jan 2018: the state CIO hosted a blockchain briefing for officials (not a task force). 2021: Gov. Sisolak dropped 'innovation zones' legislation in favor of a joint legislative committee study (tied to Blockchains LLC; not a crypto policy task force).
No enacted crypto or blockchain task force found. An interim legislative committee (Legislative Committee on Senior Citizens, Veterans and Adults With Special Needs) heard crypto kiosk concerns in spring 2026 and submitted a bill draft request (see kiosks); that is a standing legislative committee, not a crypto task force.
Bitcoin or digital asset reserve law None found
No Nevada bitcoin/digital-asset reserve or investment bill found. The Nevada Legislature holds regular sessions in odd years (2025, then Feb 2027); NCSL lists 'No 2026 regular session' for Nevada. My searches for a 2025 Nevada reserve bill returned only other states.

Licensing Reported
No standalone crypto license. The Financial Institutions Division (FID) applies NRS Chapter 671 (money transmission) case by case based on business model; its Aug 19, 2019 statement says entities transmitting or holding fiat or digital currency, including by kiosk, should seek a licensure determination, and digital custodians may be regulated as trust companies under NRS 669. A 2019 licensing bill (SB 195) did not pass. AB 21 (2023) modernized Chapter 671 (secondary source). FID told the press that some kiosk operators hold money transmitter licenses.

Crypto kiosks (ATMs) Reported
Nevada has no crypto-kiosk-specific statute, per Nevada Current (Apr 2026) and KTNV (Oct 27, 2026). An interim legislative committee submitted a bill draft request for the 2027 session (reported to include a possible ban, with bipartisan support); no bill number exists yet. AARP Nevada urged protections in spring 2026.

Source notes: Licensing statement is from 2019 and the NRS 671 summary is from a secondary source; official NRS text and current FID guidance were not opened. Kiosk and reserve 'none' findings rest on press and NCSL, not the legislature's bill lists. This item had not received a full follow-up search at the time of review.
